By creating an account or using PineconeTales, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

PineconeTales is an AI-powered interactive storybook application. Users create personalized bedtime stories with AI-generated text and illustrations. The service also offers physical printed books through our print-on-demand partner.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. PineconeTales is designed for adults (parents, guardians, and caregivers) to create stories for children. Children should not create accounts or use the service without adult supervision.

PineconeTales is a platform for creating children's stories. You agree not to:

• ●Attempt to generate inappropriate, harmful, or explicit content
• ●Upload images that are offensive, illegal, or violate others' rights
• ●Use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• ●Attempt to bypass content moderation or safety systems
• ●Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
• ●Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• ●Share your account with others or create multiple accounts

We employ strict content moderation to ensure all stories remain safe and appropriate for children.

Stories and images are generated by artificial intelligence (OpenAI). While we apply content moderation, AI-generated content may occasionally be unexpected, inaccurate, or imperfect. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or appropriateness of all AI-generated content. We recommend that parents review stories before sharing them with children.

• ●Your content: You retain ownership of content you provide (character names, descriptions, uploaded photos, story themes).
• ●AI-generated content: Stories and images generated by AI through our service are provided for your personal use. The legal status of AI-generated content ownership is evolving. We grant you a license to use, download, and print AI-generated stories created through your account for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• ●Our content: The PineconeTales platform, design, code, and branding remain our property.

• ●Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe
• ●You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page
• ●Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• ●We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
• ●Print book orders are separate purchases and are non-refundable once submitted for production

Physical books are printed and shipped by our partner, Lulu. Delivery times, shipping costs, and print quality are subject to Lulu's capabilities. Once a print order is submitted for production, it cannot be canceled. If you receive a defective product, contact us for assistance.

We strive to keep PineconeTales available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to factors beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

PineconeTales is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, particularly the Acceptable Use policy. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the application. Your continued use of PineconeTales after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
